2025.08.02 Silvia Gribaudi - Graces

“Graces,” by Italian choreographer Silvia Gribaudi, elevates human imperfection to an art form that transcends stereotypes and appearances. The performance is inspired by the sculpture The Three Graces, created by Antonio Canova between 1812 and 1817, depicting Zeus’s three daughters – Euphrosyne, Aglaea, and Thalia – who radiate splendor, joy, and prosperity.

Three male figures take the stage in a space and time suspended between the human and the abstract—a place where masculinity and femininity meet without defined roles, dancing to the rhythm of nature itself. Andrea Rampazzo, Francesco Saverio Cavaliere, and Matteo Marchesi join Silvia Gribaudi, who defines herself as a “body author,” as her creations transform imperfections into art with a comedic, raw, and empathetic style that blurs the boundaries between dance and theater.
